Top Family Session Locations in Palm Beach County
Palm Beach County is brimming with incredible locations for family and maternity photography. With such a variety of options, it can be difficult to choose!
Some key things to consider are your family’s lifestyle and personalities, where you already enjoy spending time together, and what the resulting images will look like on your walls (consider colors and aesthetic).
Coral Cove Park
Tequesta
This is one of the most visually stunning beaches in South Florida. The unique rocks are incredible as a photography setting, as are the dune grasses and boardwalk. An all-time favorite for maternity and family sessions! Families should be prepared for the kids to want to climb around an explore the rocks. This makes great candid images, and I enjoy following them around while they play!
Riverbend Park
Jupiter
Riverbend has a unique landscape for the area, offering both jungle and grassy fields. It is rich with South Florida history and nature, and it’s a favorite place for my family to hike and adventure! Golden hour is quite dreamy in the tall grasses, and the trees make for a beautiful background. Especially great for the nature-loving family, this park works best for photo sessions in the cooler months, when the humidity is lower and mosquitoes less prolific!
Delray Oaks Natural Area
Delray Beach
Delray Oaks is a bit like a fairytale forest in Palm Beach County’s own backyard. It is a very accessible location, with a paved trail leading to an overlook. Spanish moss drapes from countless live oak trees, and at certain times of year lush green ferns blanket the forest floor.
Sunset Beach
Palm Beach Island
A peaceful spot for sunset beach sessions, this beach has a lovely relaxed feel and is never very busy.
John D. MacArthur Beach State Park
North Palm Beach
This is such a peaceful spot (especially on weekdays) and offers some gorgeous variety in images as we walk along the boardwalk to the ocean. The beach here is a favorite of mine due to the absence of buildings/structures on the shore.
DuBois Park

This location offers so much variety in one place: a mangrove lagoon, the rock-lined Intercoastal Waterway, the historic DuBois house and sandy beach access.

There is nowhere more safe and comfortable than your very own space. It doesn’t have to be Pinterest-perfect to be great for a family session! Beautiful light exists wherever there is a window, if one knows how to see it. Home is particularly wonderful for “day-in-life” documentary sessions.
