Rachel at the Green Market

I recently had the chance to photograph my friend Rachel as she prepares to launch a new site for her natural health business (go check out her Facebook page in the meantime!). We decided a morning at our local Green Market would be a perfect fit, and though it was a bit chilly, we had a great time wondering through the market. It's one of my absolute favorite ways to spend a Saturday morning.

And what could more fitting for today than a post featuring the best place to find fresh local produce?! Happy Earth Day!

Sabrina & Trae

Sabrina and Trae drove down from New Smyrna to celebrate their third wedding anniversary in Delray Beach, and they decided to commemorate the day with an anniversary session at the Morikami. Sabrina has a special love for Japanese culture, and knew the location for their session before she even contacted me to shoot it. We had such a great time walking through the gardens together. They're the kind of people who are just easy to be around, and therefore easy to photograph. They laugh a lot, and their joy and obvious love for one another is contagious.

Thanks again you two for such a great afternoon! I wish you many more years of happiness together!

Paul & Andrea

I recently spent a few minutes with just Paul and Angie at the end of their larger family session. They got engaged in August and are planning a Maryland wedding for this year. They're such a sweet couple, and completely smitten with one another, which of course made our little mini engagement shoot super fun and easy!

Congrats again you two!

2012: my favorites

This post is long. It was hard to pick. I narrowed as much as I could, and what I ended up with is kind of a montage of my year. A mix of personal work and commissioned work. It was fun to look back on all that happened last year. 2012 was so good. It brought the birth of my second child, a lot of growth in my business and a lot of growth in myself.

I am thankful, and I have high hopes for 2013. I can feel that awesome things are going to happen. I know it is going to be amazing.

Oyuki & Paul | Engaged

Let me preface this by telling you how awesome these two are. (It's possible that I say this about pretty much every client, but that's only because it's true. I get to photograph some insanely cool people!) Before I took the leap into running my business full time, I was a youth services library assistant, and I worked with Oyuki. She is basically the coolest children's librarian you could ever meet. Paul is an aficionado of all things vinyl in the music world. Together they are one of those couples that is just so much fun to be around.

Needless to say, I was thrilled when Oyuki called to tell me that Paul had finally popped the question, and that they wanted me to photograph their wedding next year at (appropriately enough) the Spanish River Library in Boca Raton. I can't wait! In the meantime though, here is their engagement session, shot at their apartment and Delray Beach's Morikami Museum...
