In case you're new to my blog, this year I am participating in a project this year with 17 other photographers from all over the world. Each week we have a theme to interpret and shoot. It is a great exercise in creativity, and gets us out there shooting personal work when we might otherwise be too be to do so. This week's theme is SOOC, which means "straight out of camera"- the raw, unedited, pre-photoshop image. I decided that the best thing to share for this prompt would be an image shot with film. This is what I love about film the most: little to no editing whatsoever. More details are retained in the highlights, and the contrast and color are just right. This picture of my 9-year-old cousin looked just like this when it came from the lab.
